This exclusive two-day, one-night adventure with Katien Ranger Patrol offers a direct and immersive introduction to the ecosystems and conservation efforts of Cat Tien National Park. Designed for small groups of up to eight guests, the journey balances exploration, education, and time in the field, allowing you to experience the forest as it is, not as a staged destination.
Your journey begins with a transfer from Ho Chi Minh City into the heart of the park, where you settle into Núi Tượng Ranger Station, a simple base surrounded by forest and open grasslands. From here, you step into the landscape through a guided jungle hike that reveals the remarkable diversity of Cat Tien within just a few kilometers. Moving from ancient forest stands into bamboo groves, you will witness firsthand how different habitats coexist and transition across the terrain. The day concludes at Ta Lai rice fields, where the forest opens into a wide, quiet landscape, an ideal setting to pause and watch the sunset before returning to the station.
On the second day, the focus shifts to conservation with a visit to the Center for Rescue and Conservation of Species. Here, you’ll learn how displaced wildlife is rehabilitated and cared for in preparation for their return to the wild. The experience continues with a safari drive across grasslands and forest edges, offering opportunities to observe larger wildlife in their natural habitat.
Throughout the journey, the experience is grounded in real conditions, from walking forest trails to observing how conservation work is carried out on the ground. This is not only a wildlife experience, but an opportunity to understand the living system of the forest and the role of ranger patrols in protecting it.
